FAQ

Q. Do you travel?

I do and I love it! Contact me with your event date and location here.

Q. Can you replicate another painting which is already sold?

A. Somewhat. I can approach the piece in the same way and with the same color palette, but all original pieces are “original”, and cannot be remade stroke for stroke.

Q. do you paint faces in your live wedding paintings?

A. YES I do - with a loose and impressionistic style, as you can see here on my past works and portfolio of past wedding paintings, I like to paint more details and expressions into the faces of your painting after your wedding in the natural light of my studio.

Q. sHIPPING & rETURNS

A. Custom painting sales are final and cannot be refunded. Based on the customer’s vision, each piece is created uniquely and designed using supplies purchased around the client’s wishes. I take great care to package all pieces in bend-proof and waterproof materials (Eco-friendly or recycled when possible) However, If your piece arrives to you with damage of some kind from the shipping process or a careless postal service, please contact me immediately with images of the damage. This has yet to occur in my process, as I will over package a piece to keep the painting safe in transit.

Q. What methods of payment do you accept?

A. Venmo, Credit Card, Check/Cash and Zelle transfers.

Q. Will you share my painting on social media?

A. I will ask the client’s permission to post your specific painting’s progress or finished look at the point of sale. I enjoy posting images of my process as I am painting live or working on a commission. The client is also welcome to email me a picture with the finished painting displayed in their home to be featured on my website or Instagram.

Q. Can I post your work on my personal social media platforms/blogs?

A. That is very kind of you :) I ask that if you re-post or take pictures of my work, that you credit me, Grace C. Schlea, or @schlea_studios, as the original creator.

q. Can I get a print of my wedding painting?

A. With an additional payment- Yes! I will create a high resolution photo of the painting - editing out shine and glare - and send you the file with some copyright information and you can then have prints made of your wedding painting. Any prints you make cannot be marked for individual sale.

q. What about framing?

A. I currently offer framing in most sizes of the paintings I produce! If I cannot frame the piece myself, or if you are looking for a frame that is particularly custom, I can send you some references.
