the process
from the Booking Date to the final paint strokes of your Live Wedding Painting

how it works
1. Check if your date is available for booking and Ask me for a contract
2. Officially Book your date for live painting by paying the 50% Deposit
3. Connect me with your Event Planner / or the main contact of your venue to ensure my arrival time and set up. I keep in contact with your venue contact and wedding planner within the weeks before your wedding to make sure everything is ready!
4. Send me your Event Day Itinerary so I can best prepare for the “Special Moment” I will capture in the painting!
4. THE DAY OF THE EVENT:
I arrive 3 - 4 hours prior to guests arriving & set up my easel and begin.
And I take the painting with me at the end of the night to Finish the Painting in my Studio! I apply another 20 - 30 hours of studio painting to add details to faces and clothing and correct lighting.
5. Grace works in professional grade oil paints and traditional oil mediums which do take several additional weeks to dry from when the final paint strokes are applied! You will then get an email from me about 7 - 12 weeks following your event - when your painting is completely finished drying! You will be invoiced your remaining 50% balance shortly before your painting delivery / shipping / or pick up.
My SET UP
I require an area of about 7- 8 ft radius to adequately fit my easel, tripod, light, and small table of paints
If the event lasts into the evening hours, I do need to be near an outlet to plug in my small easel light.
I am present at your wedding venue for about 8-12 hours

COMMISSIONED PAINTING vs. live event
I am often commissioned for original paintings throughout the year. This is a popular option If I am unavailable to book for the date of your nuptials - or if your wedding celebration was last year - I can be commissioned at a lower cost to paint from a reference photo.
